Thing 11: Online Creations

What uses do these tools have for professional or personal use?

Well, I think if you needed to make a photoslide show and didn't have the right resources to create one. These tools would be a great way to get the job done!

Was the tool you used easy to navigate and understand?

I used Zoho Slide, I thought everything was very self explanatory and easy to use.

Would you recommend it to others?

Yes, I would because it was so easy to use!

Do you use other sharing tools for photos, documents, or other creations that you would recommend?

No, this is the first time I have ever used a site like this.

Thing 10: More Flickring Around

  • Consider how you can use these tools in your assignments, professionally or for self-promotion.
I think that by being able to manipulate the pictures of Flikr could be a fast and easy tool to use when needing to do something quick.
  • What do you think of sharing photos online? Consider copyright and licensing issues.
I think that if everyone regulates what they are posting everything should be ok.

Thing 9: Photosharing with Flickr

  • How might you use Flickr for schoolwork, in your personal life or professional setting?
It could be a great resource for research projects because of the the mass amount of pictures you can find on Flickr.

  • Do you use Flickr or another photo hosting service? Which one? How does it compare to Flickr?
I use Photobucket, it is pretty similar to Flickr. I will just stick to Photobucket because I have been using it it for years!

  • How do you feel about having your photos public (note that you can mark your Flickr photos private, too)--any concerns?
It doesn't really affect me because I regulate what goes up and what does not.

Thing 8: Wikis

What did you find interesting about the wiki concept?

I thought that it was a great tool to learn how to do stuff that you didn't know how to do.

What types of applications within schools and professional organizations might work well with a wiki?

How to use certain software such as Adobe Photoshop or it can even go as basic as Microsoft word.

Many teachers/faculty "ban" Wikipedia as a source for student research. What do you think of the practice of limiting information by format?

I think that if you limited the information by format it would make things clearly more believable and accurate.

Thing 7: Online Collaboration Tools

Blog Prompts:

Which of these tools is easier for you to use?

Overall, I feel like both Google Doc and Drobox are easy to use. But if I had the option to choose one over the other, I like Dropbox the more. I think it is super convenient to pick a document and just drop it in the box.

How do the features of each compare?
I think that the zoho website its much more complicated whereas Google doc has like 3 steps. -_- I would defitnely stick with the easy way out because I am a lazy individual.

Does one have features that would make you choose it over the other?

Yes, Dropbox. I don't have to search on my computer for the file and upload it. Click and drop is fast and easy to share.

What would the Founding Fathers think of these tools?

Who knows they would be stuck on Twitter.

Thing 6: Digg, Reddit …[et al].

1. How can you use Digg to collect research for your next report or design project?

Using Digg helps find information for specific design projects. It also help you find interesting facts that you won't find anything else! Such as, articles, video and other media things that you may find useful. The best part about Digg is it is easy to use.

2. How can you use Digg to establish your reputation and credibility?

I think that it will save time, and the sources are somewhat credible but there is always room for error.

3. How can you connect your other social media circles to Digg and increase your popularity?

I can post my own stories or ideas. Other people can view and comment on it.

4. Reddit is using Twitter. Discuss what combining the experience means to you in terms of saving your oh so "precious time"?

By using both resources I may save lots of time to find something that I am interested with some credibility.

5. How can you ensure that information on an open source website like Reddit is credible?

No comment =P

Thing 5: Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking

1. I made a profile for both Twitter and Plurk, it wasn't to exciting.
2. I thought that it was interesting to know what other people are doing in the world.
3. I really think that these two networks is simply a place to "cyber gossip".
4. Overall, I think that by keeping up with Twitter and Plurk can just simply lead to defamation. -_-
